Before your child begins their journey, let's make sure everything is set up for success.

Step 1: Check That You're Ready to Roll
Before jumping into Koala Go, let's make sure your setup is good to go.
This only takes a minute, but it saves tons of time later.
What You'll Need:
A strong internet connection
(download at least 5Mbps/upload at least 5Mbps)
A computer mouse
(touchscreens are okay, but mouse gives better control)
One of these devices

Make sure your device has strong internet and a computer mouse for best control.

⚠️ Using a school Chromebook? Sometimes, school settings block Koala Go. If that happens, try using a personal device.
Step 2: Use the Link and Enter Koala Go
Getting started is quick and easy.
Here's exactly what to do after you check your setup:
1️⃣ Open Your Quest Link
Use the link to open up your quest:
LearningQuests.com (that's me!) will send you the Koala Go link.
Click the link or copy and paste it into your browser's search bar.
It will automatically open Koala Go in a new tab.
Pro Tip: Bookmark the link for quicker access next time!
I will send you a private Learning Quest link.
Use that link to open your quest.
Look for the link in your email or messages.
Click it to start your quest.
2️⃣ Select Your Learning Quest and Press Play
Once you click on your Learning Quest, press the green Play button to begin.
Just hit the green Play button to begin.
Your avatar will automatically enter the quest room.
No waiting. Just learning through play!
You're now inside the Learning Quest world.
Get ready to explore, solve, and learn on your own!
After clicking your Learning Quest link, you’ll see a screen like this.
Just hit the green Play button to begin your adventure.
Koala Go will load your quest. In just a few seconds, your avatar will appear inside the quest world.
Step 3: Learn How to Move
Once your Learning Quest loads, your avatar is ready to go!
Here's how to move around, whether you're using a computer, tablet or phone.
🖥️ On a Laptop or PC:
▪️Press W to move forward
▪️Press A to turn left
▪️Press S to move backward
▪️ Press D to turn right
▪️Press the space bar to jump
▪️Or use the arrow keys if that’s easier!
🖱️ Using a Mouse:
▪️Left click anywhere in the playground to move
▪️Right click and drag to look around
▪️ Click on the jump icon to jump
▪️Scroll to zoom in or out
📱 On a Tablet, iPad, or Phone:
▪️ Tap the white circles to move, look around, or jump
▪️The left side helps you walk
▪️The right side lets you turn and explore
▪️Tap on the jump icon to jump
▪︎ Use the W, A, S, D keys or arrow keys to move your avatar.
▪︎ Press the space bar to jump and explore new areas.
▪︎ Left click to move your avatar.
▪︎ Right click and drag to look around.
▪︎ Click on the jump icon to jump.
▪︎ Scroll to zoom in or out of the playground.
▪︎ Tap the left side of the screen to move.
▪︎ Tap the right side to look around.
▪︎ Tap the jump icon to jump.
Step 4: Learn How to Use Your Tools
Your quest includes tools at the bottom of your screen that help you write, draw, move things, and interact with your learning space.
Here's what each one does:
Pencil Tool
▪️Use the pencil icon to draw, write, or highlight things
▪️A bonus menu will open up where you can change colors, change line thickness, use a vanishing pen, and erase
Toggle View
▪️Tap the eye icon to switch how you see the playground—like changing your camera angle to see from your avatar’s eyes
Avatar Customizer
▪️ Tap the person icon to change your avatar’s clothes, hair, eyes, and more
Add Tool
▪️ Tap the box icon to add blocks, objects, or sticky notes to your world
▪️ You’ll use gems to buy furniture and items
▪️A bonus menu will open up where you can rotate things, change the size, and make copies
Delete Tools
▪️ Made a mistake? Tap the shovel icon to remove a misplaced block
▪️ Tap the trashcan icon on the bonus menu to delete sticky notes and items
Tap the pencil to start drawing.
Use the bonus menu on the left to pick your color or style.
Tap the icons to change your view, customize your avatar, build with objects, or clean up.
Step 5: Solve Action Zones
Some parts of your Learning Quest will ask you to drag the correct answer to a special spot called an Action Zone. This helps unlock the next part of your mission!
Here’s how to do it:
Click, Drag, and Drop:
▪️ Click on the answer you think is correct.
▪️ Hold and drag it to the glowing Action Zone box.
▪️ Let go to drop it in place and submit your answer.
Tip: If you're right, you'll move on to the next challenge!
If not, try again.
Drag your answer into the action zone. Let go to submit and unlock the next part of your quest.
