What is COPPA?

▪️It's a U.S. federal law that gives parents control over how companies collect and use their child's personal information.

▪️It applies to websites, apps, games, and digital tools made for kids under age 13.

▪️ The law is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

How Does It Work

Before collecting your child's personal info, companies must get verified permission from you.

That might include:

▪️Sending you a form to fill out

▪️Asking for a small credit card charge

▪️Calling you directly

▪️Using another method to confirm you're the parent

Personal information includes:

▪️Your child's name, home address, phone number, and email

▪️Voice recordings or photos

▪️Device information, physical location, and unique IDs (like logins)

Without your permission, companies are not allowed to:

▪️Show targeted ads to your child

▪️Let them access public chats or forums

▪️Offer features like social networking

▪️They must also clearly post a privacy policy and protect any data they collect

What Can You Do as a Parent

How I Protect Your Child's Online Privacy

When your child joins a Learning Quest, they're stepping into a carefully designed space that puts privacy, purpose, and protection first.

Here's how I keep your child's experience safe:

▪️Koala Go is the only platform currently used for Learning Quests. Kids can play without an account, but if they want to save their progress, they'll need to create one with a username and email, which doesn't have to include their real name.

▪️Your child's data is never collected directly by me. Koala Go collects and stores usernames, email addresses, and quest progress. That data is only shared with me to help track learning progress and provide support when needed.

▪️You give full permission before your child ever plays. You sign up through my website (hosted on Systeme.io), and all access to Learning Quests is sent directly to you, not your child.

▪️You can request to view or delete your child's data anytime. Just contact me, and I'll help you take care of it for you.

▪️There are no ads, no public chats, and no open multiplayer features. Your child plays solo in a closed, focused environment with no hidden risks.

In the future, I may offer optional small-group events. If that happens, I'll share full details, and you must opt in before your child can join.

Coming soon (God-willing), I'll also be adding a community section just for families. Even then, it will only include helpful downloads and parent-approved links. Your child will never be exposed to public forums or unsafe interactions.
